Paris Hilton has been immortalized as a doll wearing prison overalls. The convicted hotel heiress' impending jail sentence has inspired a line of memorabilia - which includes T-shirts, mugs and prisoner-Paris figures. Sandy Kelley - who sells the dolls - is quoted as saying by Britain's Daily Express newspaper: "I'm sure Paris wouldn't mind. Everyone knows how she loves to be the center of attention. "

A new research study investigating the interpretation of facial expressions by individuals shows how cultural boundaries between them affects their psychology. Researchers found that while Americans tend to judge emotional status of a person by looking at the mouth, Japanese are likely to do so by looking into the eyes. The research team led by Masaki Yuki, a behavioral scientist at Hokkaido University in Japan, confirmed the hypothesis using two studies - one using emoticons and one using manipulated photographs of real people.

Postcards featuring Britain's late Princess Diana have been banned from royal palace shops. Buckingham Palace and other royal residences have stopped the sale of postcards bearing Diana's image in line with their rule dictating that only cards featuring current members of the royal family should be sold. The move comes despite predictions that the postcards of Diana - who was killed in a tragic Paris car crash on August 31, 1997 - would be hugely popular as the country approaches the 10th anniversary of her death.

We all know that dogs wag their tails to express happiness, but a new Italian study now suggests that dogs show pleasure by wagging their tails more towards the right, while negative feelings get a left-swaying wag. An Italian neuroscientist at the University of Trieste, Dr. Giorgio Vallortigara, and two veterinarians from the University of Bari, Marcello Siniscalchi and Angelo Quaranta, closely watched 30 caged family pets of mixed breeds over 25 days, performing 10 tests per day.

A Madame Tussauds waxwork of Kate Middleton has been abandoned following her split from Britain's Prince William. The London museum was reportedly in the early stages of planning the model on the back of popular demand. The figure of the 25-year-old brunette was due to be placed next to her royal boyfriend and unveiled in 2008 - the year many royal fans expected the couple to marry.
