A fake priest was apprehended at St. Peter's Basilica and tried before a Vatican court judge for impersonating a priest and attempting to hear confessions.
According to the authorities, this was the second time the man had been arrested for this offense.
Judge Gianluigi Marrone wouldn't say what penalty the man faced.
He reportedly indicated that while the bogus priest's papers appeared in order, his priestly demeanor left much to be desired.
