Foul Baseball Causes Man To Lose Left Eye

A North Carolina man who was hit in the left eye by a foul ball at a recent minor league game will lose the eye. Carroll Master, his wife and two-year-old son, and about a dozen others went to a Greensboro Grasshoppers baseball game Friday where Master was struck upon returning to his seat from a concession stand.

Bangladeshi Baby Boy Born With Two Heads

A 22-year-old woman has given birth to a baby boy with two heads in southwestern Bangladesh who has been placed under police protection because of the curiosity his birth has caused among locals. Baby Kiron was born by caesarean section on Monday at a clinic in Keshobpur, 85 miles from the capital, Dhaka, and weighed 12 lbs 1 oz. Doctors believe that he was born from one embryo but there was a developmental anomaly that caused the infant to develop two heads.

More U.S. Couples Marrying To Get Insurance Coverage

A study by the Kaiser Family Foundation released Tuesday said 7 percent of adults in the U. S. tie the knot to have access to insurance. Experts were not surprised by the finding as the Kaiser report showed the number of uninsured in the U. S. , currently 47 million, are even increasing in number. Over 8 of 10 uninsured come from families with incomes below 200 percent of the 2006 federal poverty level of $41,000 for a family of four.
