Five children were found shot dead inside a mobile home in the Graham area of Pierce County Saturday. Their father was also found dead inside a car near Auburn earlier in the day.
The Pierce County Sheriff's Office believe the father, 34-year-old James Harrison, is the one who slain his children, a boy age 7 and four girls age 11 to 16. The murder weapon was a rifle, which the father also used to shoot himself in the head.
"This was not a tragedy. It was a rotten murder. Five innocent kids lost their lives," said Pierce County Sheriff Paul Pastor, according to The Seattle Times.
Relatives of the children's mother, Angela Harrison, came to the crime scene and identified the victims. Neighbors told authorities that they heard the couple's loud and heated argument Friday night or early Saturday morning and saw the wife leaving the mobile-home.
A concerned neighbor then called the police, who came Saturday for a welfare check and discovered the gruesome scene at the home in the 20400 block of 135th Avenue Court East, between Graham and Orting.
