A civilian Army employee is arrested by the FBI under accusations of kickbacks from funeral homes in return for business generated by the deaths of soldiers. According to the FBI, Rolf Evans is facing an extortion charge.

A airline passenger is detained after allegedly breaking an airplane window during an American West flight from Las Vegas to Florida. The passenger was later released on $25,000 bail, including home detention with electronic monitoring. An FBI affidavit states 24-year old Ryan J. Marchione smashed the inner plastic shield covering the glass window and detached its frame about 90-minutes into the flight. However, the outer window was not damaged and the plane did not depressurize.

A 27-year-old Guatemalan man is arrested after posing as an 18-year-old high school student. Josue Oswaldo Ramirez-Mejia told authorities he enrolled because he wanted to learn English and get a good education. Ramirez-Mejia was arrested in Pasco County and charged with uttering a forged instrument. He is being held on $5,000 bail.
