Police have arrested a woman after finding a frying pan coated with remnants of ground beef and rat poison in her trash. The 55-year-old woman allegedly cooked up poisonous was meatballs and fed it to a neighbor's dog because she didn't like its barking.
Police reportedly charged Charmaine Twarozek on Friday for poisoning a dog and cruelty to animals, misdemeanors, police said.
According to AP reports, Sue Anderson, the owner of the German shepherd mix, said she and Twarozek had been involved in an long dispute over Roscoe's barking.
The meatballs were discovered after Anderson's husband noticed the dog was eating something by the back fence, near Twarozek's property in Cheektowaga, 10 miles east of Buffalo.
The dog Roscoe was taken to an emergency animal clinic and will be given vitamins for the next few weeks.
