A female passenger from Beverly Hills skipped out on a taxi fare of $8,200, prompting the driver to approach court.
The meter in the taxi of Levon Mikayelyan hit the unbelievable fare after it was hired to drive 2,600 miles from Beverly Hills to Chapel Hill, North Carolina. However, the passenger's family paid him only a measly $800 when he reached their destination.
According to reports, so far the Van Nuys, California based cab company says it's been paid another $2,000 and the rest is being pursued in small claims court. It was the first time one of the company's taxi drivers had made such a long trip.
Mikayelyan was driving back to California on Friday.
