A German film-maker notoriously criticized for putting out bad films has chosen to hit back at his detractors in a most unexpected venue - the boxing ring.
Film director Uwe Boll took on four of his biggest critics in a boxing match in Vancouver, emerging victorious from the contest in front of a crowd of 600 people.
Now dubbed 'Raging Boll,' the director then accused his critics of judging his films unfairly.
A critic had said Boll's horror movie-maker was one of the "most inept film-makers ever," to which the director countered, "If you make a zombie movie like House of the Dead, what are they expecting? Schindler's List?"
Jeff Sneider, of Ain't It Cool News, who was one of the four Boll had beaten, wasn't impressed.
"I think he's a jerk," he said after losing to Boll. "This might be PR, but I don't want to keep getting punched in the head."
Another one claimed he managed to hit Boll in the face a couple of times, calling it revenge for his latest film, BloodRayne, a vampire flick starring Ben Kingsley.
