Film director Lee Tamahori was arrested for soliticing prostitution while dressed in women's clothes. The 55-year-old director of "Once Were Warriors" and "Die Another Day" allegedly tried to have sex with an undercover policeman, according to a criminal complaint filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.

A Jamaican sled-dog racer who has never seen snow is ready to take part in Europe's biggest huskry racing event. The 42-year-old and his four-dog team will compete against 220 other teams and more than 1,000 dogs this weekend. He eventually hopes to compete in the world championships and the Winter Olympics in 2010. Devon Anderson and his four-dog team, dubbed "welfare dogs," will compete against 220 other teams and more than 1,000 dogs beginning Saturday at Aviemore, Scotland. His efforts are reminiscent of the success of the Jamaican bobsled team, which took part in the 1988 Games in Calgary and provided the inspiration for the 1993 film "Cool Runnings. "

Wal-Mart announces human error was the cause for an offensive link on the company's Web site that recommended a film about Martin Luther King Jr. to potential buyers of a "Planet of the Apes" DVD. Carter Cast, walmart. com president, says the error stemmed from an effort to promote the DVD about the civil rights leader when a business manager grouped "Martin Luther King: I Have a Dream" with three other black-themed movies and assigned the set to the category of DVD boxed sets.
