President George Bush was not afraid to admit that he is not very savvy when it comes to Valentine's Day. First Lady Laura Bush agreed.
While she has never spent a February 14 in the White House without a beautiful bouquet of flowers or a romantic dinner that night, she said the romance is not always the workings of her husband.
She said, "Last year, one of the gardeners at the White House -- they're National Park employees -- did a heart topiary for the president to give to me. But, of course, the President didn't think of it. The gardener did."
But usually, she said, the White House florist will send flowers to her and Mr. Bush will sign the card.
The first lady revealed the President's secrets during a tapped interview with talk-show host Rachel Ray to promote women's heart health. She said she eats healthy and works out three times a week, sometimes with her sister-in-law from Virginia.
