Cornwall, CT (AHN)-Authorities say the son of billionaire oil tycoon T. Boone Pickens was charged with burglary after he was found hiding under a table in a fly fishing shop. Following his arraignment in Bantam Superior Court on Monday, 51-year-old Michael Pickens spent three days in jail.

An Idaho women, Lisa Peterson, has claimed a ring which she says was stolen in 1991 from Franklin Heights High School in Columbus. The ring engraved "Lisa Marie Certain, Class of '84" was found when a fisherman Wayne Nickerson was collecting bait during a fishing excursion in northcentral Kentucky, says the Associated Press.

A Hungarian fisherman died trying to reel in a 150-pound 4-foot catfish that got caught on his hook, says the United Press International. Gabor Komlosy, 53, got the catfish on his line in the Szamos River and apparently wouldn't let go of his fishing pole when the fish tried to swim away.

A doctor with numerous fishing accolades added another record to his collection when he caught a 385-pound lemon shark on fly tackle. According to the International Game Fish Association (IGFA), Dr. Martin Arostegui caught the heaviest fish ever documented on fly tackle, beating out a nearly 40-year-old record.
