Five people in Miami are dead in what police are saying was a murder-suicide that happened early Sunday morning.
Miami police said they sent officers to a home at SW 38th Court shortly after midnight after receiving several 911 calls from neighbors who heard gunshots coming from the home, local television station CBS 4 reported.
Police spokeswoman Kenia Alfonso told reporters that when police arrived, they found the bodies of four people inside the home. The bodies bore gunshot wounds.
Neighbors told police they saw a red Toyota Tacoma pickup truck leave the house shortly after they heard the shots fired. Emergency operators then received more 911 calls about gunfire heard coming from a nearby home. When police arrived, they found the house and the vehicle parked in front of it consumed with flames.
Police say they think the man in the pickup truck shot and killed the four people in the first house before driving to the other location, setting it and his vehicle on fire, and then turning his gun on himself.
