Six friends broke a record after catching a 844-pound shark during a fishing tournament off the Gulf of Mexico on Saturday.
Adlee Bruner, 47, and his five other friends took more than an hour to pull the 11-foot mako shark onto the boat from the Gulf of Mexico.
The catch is a new record for the decade-old Destin Fishing Rodeo.
Bruner said he was frightened because of the shark's big and horrible teeth but very excited at the same time because he has never caught any fish as big as this, "It was tense," said, "I've fished for 40 years. I've never see one that big."
The mako broke the all time tournament record in previous shark division, which was recorded at 338 pounds.
