German Man Wins The Empire State Building Run In New York

Germany's Thomas Dold, 22, won the Empire State Building Run-up on Tuesday for the second year in a row in 10 minutes, 25 seconds, a few seconds over his 2006 winning time. Suzy Walsham, 33, of Singapore grabbed the women's prize out of a total of 290 runners from around the world. The age group ranged from 18 to 77 in the 30th annual race up the famed skyscraper of New York. However, the star of the event was 77-year-old Al Puma who raced up to 86 flights even after four knee surgeries.

Airline Luggage Found In A Trash Bin Of Pet Store

Authorities on Tuesday were trying to investigate how several pieces of luggage, belonging to air travelers, were reportedly found in a trash bin behind a Houston pet store. According to Houston television station KRIV, the store's owners discovered 60 to 70 pieces of luggage, which belonged to passengers of Continental Airlines, Lufthansa, British Airways and U. S. Airways.

Chinese Airline Fined For Offering 13 Cent Flights

A Chinese Airline was fined after it sold airline tickets for prices as low as 1 yuan or 13 cents. The discounted flights usually sell for 910 yuan or $116 including taxes. An official from the Jinan Price Buearu said airlines are restricted from offering dicounts for more than 45 percent on the government-set price.

Calif. Couple Faces Federal Charges For "Overt Sexual Activity" On Flight

A California couple are facing federal charges after they allegedly harassed a flight attendant who asked them to stop their public displays of affection during a flight to Raleigh. Carl Warren Persing and Dawn Elizabeth Sewell are scheduled to go to trial Dec. 11 at the U. S. District Court in Wilmington. The incident happened during a Sept. 15 flight's layover in Phoenix. According to court documents, flight attendants saw Persing and Sewell kissing, embracing and "acting in a manner that made other passengers uncomfortable. "
