Vanity is a necessity among flight attendants and they have to look good even while fighting terror. Superintendent Rizalino Roxas, in charge of police and intelligence operations at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in the Philippines said Monday all airline crews, particularly flight attendants, were exempted from the "no liquid, no gel" ban being enforced at the airport on all U. S. -bound passengers and U. S. carriers.

Firemen are all fired up about a fire station that was built without a pole. Officials said the pole would cause more injuries than it was worth, and in its place firemen will have to go down three flights of stairs to reach their trucks.

According to an AP report, author and motivational speaker, Cindy Cashman and her airline pilot fiancé want to get married in space. Cashman has received backing from the Rocketplane Kistler company based in Oklahoma. This company hopes to offer commercial space flights to the public within a couple of years.

Tickets for the world's first tourist space flight planned for 2008 have been snapped up by celebrities and royalty. The commercial spaceline said that tickets were sold to its first 150 passengers at $200,000 per ticket. Some of the takers were former soap star Victoria Principal, designer Philippe Starck, and a unidentified senior member of a royal family have all bought tickets for the world's first tourist space flights planned for 2008. Meanwhile, Bryan Singer, the director of "Superman Returns," has also signed up.

Defying the odds, British Prime Minister Tony Blair boarded a low cost flight to London after his one week vacation in Italy. Blair and his aides traveled by Ryanair, a modest commercial air transporter. Blair's low-budget travel decision comes after an outburst of criticisms from the British media over his preference for costly state flights during his private vacation trips.
