A Florida man chooses to serve a 15-day jail sentence over jury duty. After showing up for his first day of a jury trial, Daniel Harrell handed his badge to the bailiff and blatantly declined to be on the jury.
According to St. Petersburg Times Thursday edition, Circuit Judge Wayne Cobb called Harrell into his chambers to tell that he'd be found in contempt if he continued to refuse to serve.
Judge Cobb's request left no impact on Harrell and he still refused to sit on the jury forcing Cobb to sentence Harrell to 15 days in jail.
The newspaper quotes Harrell as saying, "That's fine with me."
