A man who told to police he was kidnapped and put into the trunk of his car, has confessed that he actually was in a local strip club with a friend.

The story started falling apart when police realized, there was no escape hatch in that particular model and the gas station does not sell dog food.
It turns out that Kelly took 4-hours to report the false story and was discovered to have $400 in cash on him, leaving police to believe the story was made up from the very beginning.
Kelly admits that he made the story up and that he actually went to a local strip bar, "Scuttlebutt Gentlemen's Club", where his missing money had been squandered.
He became intoxicated and passed out in the passenger seat of his friend's car. Fearing his girlfriend's reaction, Kelly made the story up.
Police charged Kelly with falsifying a police report and fined him $500.
