After paying for a 10-piece, a local woman called 911 three times after being told the McDonald's was out of Chicken Nuggets. The McMeltdown occurred last week at a McDonald's in Fort Pierce. Latreasa L. Goodman received a notice to appear on a misuse of 911 charge, according to a police report.

"This is an emergency," Goodman maintained to police. "If I would have known they didn't have McNuggets, I wouldn't have given my money, and now she wants to give me a McDouble, but I don't want one."

Goodman told investigators she hoped for a refund, but the cashier told her that all sales are final and offered a larger portion of food for the same price to make up for it. At this point, the report states, Goodman became irate and yelled, "I don't want a McDouble and a small fry!"

Through the incident, Goodman "maintained the attitude 'this is an emergency, my McNuggets are an emergency,'" the report states.

McDonald's has since issued a statement apologizing for the "inconvenience" that was caused. "We will be sending the customer her refund, along with an Arch card for a complimentary meal on us," Carlos Solorzano, McDonald's operations manager, Florida region, said in the statement. "We never wants to disappoint a McNuggets fan..."
