Artwork, Memorabilia By Canada's Notorious Cult Leader-Murderer Up For Auction

More than half a dozen artworks made by a notorious cult killer at the Dorchester Penitentiary in New Brunswick have been added to the collection of "murderabilia" offered for auction by a U. S. website. MurderAuction. com, is a novelty site that rounds up and sells personal effects, artworks, paintings, letters, and other knick knacks owned by, or associated with infamous criminals in recent history to a niche market of crime memorabilia collectors.

Saudi Arabia Prohibits Sale Of Red Roses, Other Red Items For One Week

A traditional symbol of Valentine's Day, red roses, has been banned by Saudi Arabia's muttawah until Feb. 14. Also included in the prohibition is the sale of other red items such as gift wrappers. Shop owners were advised by the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice to take off from their shelves the red flowers and similar reminders of Valentine's Day, which is considered un-Islamic and allegedly leads to relations outside of marriage.

Giant Self-Destructing Tree Discovered In Madagascar

Botanists are baffled with the discovery of a new species of giant self-destructing palm tree in Madagascar which is said to flower only once in its 100 year life. According to botanist from the Kew Gardens in London, the 60-foot palm which has 16-foot leaves, because the moment it does, it spends so much energy that it dies.

A man and a dog were joined in matrimony last Sunday through a traditional Hindu ritual, as an attempt from the man to be cleansed of his sin of stoning two dogs to death. The marriage took place at a temple in Tamil Nadu, located south of India, upon the advice of an astrologer who revealed that doing so would be the only way for Selva Kumar, 33, to atone for his evil deed, which involved Kumar stoning and clubbing to death two dogs he found mating. Afterwards he strung the bodies up a tree.
