Britain's First Mile-High Club To Open This Year

February 7, 2007
A British company will be opening a mile-high club later this year that will give couples willing to shell out hundreds of dollars the chance to fly 5,580 feet in the air on a private "love jet. " With the service, couples who have always wanted to be a part of the mile-high club can do so without the fear of facing the large fines (and embarrassment) they'd have to deal with if they attempted to join the club on a commercial flight. Couples, who are promised discretion, will have a choice of three kinds of trips: a 30-minute "Quickie," an hour-long flight, or a "VIP" flight that lasts 90 minutes. Prices range from about $500 to $1,500.

January 2, 2007

The incident reportedly happened in November when the UA workers, including some pilots, informed the Federal Aviation Administration that they had seen a strange object hanging above O'Hare Airport. According to The Chicago Tribune, air controllers at the O'Hare control tower were, however, unable to find any trace of the mysterious, sausage-shaped craft, with the radar showing no evidence that it was ever there at all.
