A cat survived a two-hour flight to Toronto and a one-hour car ride inside its owner's suitcase, even though security at St. John Airport had scanned the bag before boarding. Chasing his "amazing dream," 58-year-old Miles Hilton-Barber has set a world record as the first blind person to fly halfway across the world. Hilton-Barber, who lost his eyesight about 20 years ago, had voice-output technology installed on all the navigational devices on his microlight aircraft so he could complete the 13,500-mile flight from London to Sydney. Hilton-Barber, accompanied by his sighted co-pilot Storm Smith, took off in the two-seater microlight aircraft from Biggin Hill air base in south London on March 7.

A Japan-bound Vietnam Airlines plane was forced to remain grounded for nearly four hours after a passenger spotted a white mouse on the plane. The aviation authorities suspect the mouse might have hitched a ride aboard the plane in the hand luggage or pocket of one of the passengers and eventually escaped. The Boeing 777 from the central city of Da Nang landed at the Hanoi-based Noi Bai International Airport late Saturday and was scheduled to fly to Japan but the flight was delayed after a passenger aboard the plane reported the airplane crew of the mouse.

In an attempt to prove his love for his wife, a British man from Isle of Wright turned his Land Rover to "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang", an all time favorite car model from the 1960's film that goes by the same name. Retail store manager Nick Pointing spent thousands of dollars and four years to make his car into the same model as shown in the movie. Now the couple plan to take a 12-month career break and tour the world with the car raising money for charity.
