Gibraltar Monkeys To Be Culled For Annoying Tourists

Gibraltar authorities say they will kill 25 monkeys annoying and endangering people at this British colony's tourism areas, a move that has angered conservationists. Gibraltar tourism minister Ernest Britto made the decision to cull the Barbary macaques because the monkeys enter and ransack rooms of hotels in Catalan Bay and Sandy Bay looking for food. The Belfast Telegraph also quoted the minister as saying that the apes frighten children and their bites can cause salmonella and hepatitis infection.

Hawaii DA Launches Tomato Surveillance

For the next three years, the Department of Agriculture will be embedding produce boxes of state-grown tomatoes with microchips and radio-wave emitting paper thin antennae to keep track of their movement. The pilot project would track and trace tomatoes and other fresh produce from farm to market using radio frequency identification technology in hopes of improving food safety.

Survey: Aubergine Is The Most Hated Vegetable Of Children

ubergine has bumped off sprouts as children's most hated vegetable, according to 2,300 kids polled by Heinz. Based on survey results, some 39 percent dislike the dark vegetable. Eggplant has replaced the once most hated vegetable, which is now in second place - brussel sprouts, disliked by 37 percent of the children. The third most hated veggie is celeriac at 32 per cent, followed by cabbage (16 percent) and mangetout (12 percent).

New Owner Of Illinois Corn Flake To Take Prize On The Road

Scammers Video Technique, Get Arrested

Local authorities arrested three men who made an instructional video about how to "scam" fast food restaurants into giving free food. The three men, 32-year-old Robert Echeverria and 18-year-olds Ian Anthony Roman and Brian Fawcett reportedly made a home video, entitled "How To Scam Del Taco," where they show the process of making a Rialto Del Taco restaurant hand over free food - in this case, seven tacos, a large order of fries, two quesadillas with extra chicken, and two sodas.
