Employers Say Cursing Worst Office Crime, Workers Point To Stealing Food From Office Refrigerator

A survey of 2,520 executive made by a New York-based online job search website said office cursing topped the reasons why bosses fire employees. According to TheLadders. com, 38 percent of the respondents to the online survey pointed to violation of office etiquette, primarily using cuss words, as their number one reason for terminating workers.

Over $4,000 Worth Of Diesel Stolen From A Florida Service Station

Florida police are searching for four men who stole more than $4,000 worth of diesel from the Island Food Store gas station. According to the service station manager, the four parked their truck beside pump 4 and paid $20. The screen showed only $5 worth of diesel was pumped out, but actually 926 gallons were transferred. At $4. 50 per gallon, the fuel would have cost over $4,000.

Canadian Foreign Minister's Excessive Airfare Costs Questioned

Canadian Foreign Minister Maxime Bernier continues to be hot copy. After his diplomatic faux pas in Afghanistan and questions over his former girlfriend's links with biker gang members, there is now a question over his excessive airfare. According to the Toronto Star, Bernier charged to federal funds $22,573 to cover his airfare to Laos, where he attended a two-day conference in November. The trip included a stopover in Paris. Study: Computer Keyboards Can Be Filthier Than A Toilet Seat

Consumer magazine Which? has found that computer keyboards can be a home to bacteria that may cause food poisoning symptoms and stomach upsets. Tests made on 33 keyboards at its office here showed four posed a health risk, with one being host to five times more germs than the office's toilet seats.

Gibraltar Monkeys To Be Culled For Annoying Tourists

Gibraltar authorities say they will kill 25 monkeys annoying and endangering people at this British colony's tourism areas, a move that has angered conservationists. Gibraltar tourism minister Ernest Britto made the decision to cull the Barbary macaques because the monkeys enter and ransack rooms of hotels in Catalan Bay and Sandy Bay looking for food. The Belfast Telegraph also quoted the minister as saying that the apes frighten children and their bites can cause salmonella and hepatitis infection.
