Angry bees forced a Florida middle school to shut down for over three hours after a man operating a bulldozer nearby hit a hive of Africanized honey bees. After being chased by the bees for several hundred yards, the man was stung several times but was not seriously injured. The Palm Beach Post reported that authorities at the Forest Grove Middle School in Fort Pierce were forced to shut down the school within 10 minutes of the incident. It resulted in rerouting the buses and delaying students' homecoming.

Stumpy, the eight-days-old duckling, stands discrete from the rest of the members of his family. The chicken has born with a rare mutation that has left him with an extra pair of full-sized legs. "It was absolutely bizarre. I was thinking 'he's got too many legs' and I kept counting 'one, two, three, four,'" Nicky Janaway, a duck farmer in New Forest, Hampshire, said as she showed the duckling to reporters.

In the ongoing list of strange auctions, the Wisconsin forest department is selling off a 100-foot fire lookout tower; opening the bidding up at just $1. The only catch is the state wants the tower moved off its land before it's put to any other use. According to full-time forest specialist and part-time tower salesman Gary Vander Wyst of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, taking the tower apart shouldn't be too much of a problem, "It goes pretty quick. It's like taking apart a set of Tinkertoys. "

The sharpshooters in the North East Indian city of Gauhati have reportedly shot Osama bin Laden. Shocked? Well here we are talking about a killer elephant that was blamed for 14 deaths in the northeastern state of Assam. According to wildlife warden Chandan Bora, a licensed shooter shot and killed the 10-foot-tall elephant near the Behali forest reserve in northern Assam.
