Mark Littell, a former Arizona major league pitcher, recently designed a protection cup for men that would provide better safety and comfort.

The former pitching pro unveiled the NuttyBuddy, a protection cup that according to him provided a form-fitting shape for better comfort and safety. This idea was started after a poll conducted by Littell revealed that almost half of current baseball professionals step up to the plate without wearing their safety cups, putting their manhood at risk.

Littell posted a video demonstration of the product on the video website YouTube, reported the UPI. The clip showed him standing in front of an automatic pitching machine set to rocket a ball towards his special area. The ball strikes the place, producing a "whomp" sound, and Little jumps up and flexes his muscles, showing that he was fine.

"Yes sir folks," Littell says, "The NuttyBuddy: It's mean, it's tough, and it's right there for ya every time."

Littell furthered to say, "All people have to do is try it."

An AP article revealed that the NuttyBuddy comes with a $19.95 price tag, which is twice as much as a regular athletic cup. It comes with names such as "Hammer", "Boss", "Hog", and for the XL sizes, "Mongo" - a reference to the ogre in the movie "Blazing Saddles."
