A former extra in a Brazilian soap opera storms a television studio while brandishing a gun.
Ricardo Dualibi was fired from "Snakes and Lizards" in April.
The actor, wearing only swimming trunks, fired two shots in the air and took one employee hostage. The out-of-work actor told police that he only wanted the studio to pay attention to his art, and that he did not intend to hurt anyone.
Dualibi attempted to shoot a television camera inside Globo television's Projac studio. He shouted something indecipherable before guards overpowered him.
Visitors to the soap opera set initially thought the gunshots were part of the plot. They panicked when they realized the attack was not staged.
Police arrested Dualibi for attempted murder.
