A foundation dedicated to preserving the heritage of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart has found two new piano pieces composed by the famous Austrian musical genius.

The International Mozarteum Foundation in Salzburg, Austria said the works have been in its possession and will play it before the media in a press conference on August 2.

No further details were given about the previously unknown compositions.

The piano pieces add to a long list of Mozart works.

The musician was a prolific composer with more than 600 works written from age 5 up to his death in 1791.
