Four burgers at a local Burger King ended up costing George Beane a staggering $4,334.33.

He ordered two Whooper Jr.'s and two Rodeo cheeseburgers last Tuesday. The cashier forgot she had already entered the charge on his debit card and punched in the numbers again, creating the four-figure total.

The charge went through, leaving George and Pat Beane penniless.

Restaurant manager, Terry Wood, says BK officials tried to get the charge refunded but were told by the bank the funds were on a three-day hold and could not be immediately released.

Burger King ended up giving the Beanes their meal free of charge and the $4,334.33 were reimbursed to them on Friday.
