Scientists Discover Two-Headed "Dragon" In China

Scientists in China are claiming to have discovered a fossil of two-headed "dragon" which roamed the earth some 145 million years ago. A report by the Daily Mail said the dragon was not a fire-breathing monster but a deformed baby lizard. Researchers said the fossil had two distinct heads and necks and is believed to be the earliest creature developing that way. They theorized the creature belonged to an ancient family of the now extinct replies that grew an average height of three feet long.

Scientists Discover Fossil Of 2-headed, 2-necked Reptile

French and Chinese paleontologists have discovered what is thought to be the only fossil of a two-headed reptile on record. The animal belonged to a group of aquatic reptiles and lived in what is now China nearly 150 million years ago. The fossil, which measures seven centimeters long, was found in northeastern China in an area where remains of early birds and feathered dinosaurs were found in the past. It is an embryonic or newborn reptile that had two necks and two heads and would have grown to about 3. 25 feet in adulthood. The reptile was a choristoderan, which seem to have been common aquatic reptiles during the Cretaceous Period (144 to 65 million years ago).
