Tortured husbands in Jamshedpur city of eastern Indian state of Jharkhand formed an organization "Save Me From My Wife," to get relief from oppression by wives at home, IANS reported on Friday. "We have formed the organization to derive solace from each other against torture from our wives. The group will extend legal and emotional support to hubbies who are subjected to domestic abuse by wives," said Kishan Khanna, its convener.

Laura Lee Medley, who claimed that she was a paraplegic and repeatedly filed lawsuits for noncompliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, turned out to be a con with no physical limitations according to authorities. According to officials, Medley leaped out of her wheelchair and ran for freedom after being arrested by Las Vegas police.

A secret study conducted by the British Ministry of Defense finds no evidence that unidentified flying objects visited Earth. Reuters reports the 400-page study concluded that meteors and unusual atmospheric conditions explained the sightings of "flying saucers" and other UFOs.

Regina Fagone says her neighbor has euthanized three of her cats, the latest a Russian Blue cat. Fagone, 41, says her neighbor, Richard DeSantis, euthanized two cats in 1998, and the last one, Coal, this month.

A German court prohibits the screening of a film based on the case of self-confessed cannibal Armin Meiwes. The court rules Meiwes' rights as an individual outweighed artistic freedom and he should not become the object of a horror film. After posting an advertisement on the internet asking for a willing victim in 2001, Meiwes, a computer technician, killed and ate Bernd Juergen Brandes.
