Most of the traffic accidents occur on Fridays than any other day of the week, British motoring group Accident Exchange has found. As most people are already making plans and are in a hurry to rush home, nearly 17 percent of road accidents occur on Friday.
UPI quotes Accident Exchange official Steve Evans as saying, "Friday is obviously the worst as the mentality is to rush home. We've all done the daydream about what we're doing that night, or over the weekend."
Researchers have cautioned people to be extra careful while driving between 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. on weekends, as it is the time when 9.8 percent of such incidents occur.
The study also found that during spring months of March, April and May, the most dangerous time to drive switches to Wednesdays mainly because of increased amount of bank holidays and great weather.
