An allegedly deranged man was arrested by authorities after he removed the eye of a three-year-old girl he reportedly mistook for a frog in Taguig, near the Philippine capital of Manila. Police said the suspect, Rolly Semira, suddenly grabbed the victim who was buying some refreshments from a store and gouged her left eye.

Scientists recently discovered fossils that completed the biological structure of a prehistoric giant toad the size of a slightly deflated beach ball. The animal, referred to by scientists as "Beelzebufo," or Devil Toad, measured 40 cm long and weighed 4 kg. This size made the toad to have been much larger than the Goliath Frog of West Africa, known today to be the world's largest toad.

A 52-year old woman from Thailand is claiming that aside from enjoying riding toy motorcycles, her pet frog can also predict winning lottery numbers. Tongsai Boommrungtai, 52, said she came across the black spotted frog outside her house in Roi-Et.

A 265-pound man claims that a restaurant he frequents because of its "eat-all-you-can" buffet promo, has banned him from eating again in the eatery because "he and his companion eats too much. " But a spokesman for the restaurant denies the claim. Ricky Labit, a disabled offshore worker, said he had been visiting the Manchuria Restaurant in Houma and eating there at least three times a week. He claims he had been a regular customer of Manchuria for eight months.

Local police in Kansas City has arrested a 21-year old man for allegedly possessing a highly-hallucinogenic toad. Police said David Theiss planned to get high by licking the Colorado River Toad's venom glands, which can induce hallucinogenic effects.
