A $20 bill mysteriously printed on top of an ordinary fruit sticker sold Friday for $25,300, an auction company official said. The flawed note bears a red, green and yellow Del Monte sticker next to Andrew Jackson's portrait. The buyer at the Orlando, Fla. , auction did not want to be identified. The 1996 bill originated at a U. S. Treasury Department printing facility in Fort Worth, Texas, but how the fruit tag found its way onto the paper of the greenback is unknown.

Figures show Kwanzaa is growing in popularity. Bill Nesmith, a reference librarian at Person County public library in Rocksboro, N. C. , says interest in the holiday is growing, with about 13 million people now celebrating the holiday that began in 1966, honoring African-American culture. There are seven principles of Kwanzaa: unity, self-determination, collective work and responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity and faith.

Hookah smoking, the latest alternative habit to cigarette smoking, is found to be more harmful users' health then originally thought. A new study in the November issue of the Journal of Periodontology finds hookah smoking is just as bad, and in some cases worse, than cigarette smoking for users' teeth.

Drivers who are caught breaking the law in eastern Hungary will not only receive fines for their punishments, but will also be given a sour taste, as school students are to accompany police officers and hand out lemons with their fines. On the other hand, good drivers will be rewarded with apples, during a month-long campaign in the eastern province of Szabolcs-Szatmar-Bereg in Hungary.
