A funeral parlor employee was locked in a coffin after burglars broke into the parlor, beat him and locked him up, while they searched for cash.

According to Serik Sarsenbayev, the burglars beat him until he fainted before nailing him into a wooden coffin, says Reuters.

The thieves got away with about $23,000 before Sarsenbayev was freed by the driver of the funeral parlor's hearse.
