"Although the percentages of Michigan's road conditions that are in need of repair are only slightly higher than those averages across the nation, improvements are badly needed.

A thief dressed in a woman's wig and makeup snatched a 71-year-old grandmother's purse in a Titusville mall, police said. According to a report by the Associated Press, Dotty Stella, was celebrating her birthday at a restaurant when she was robbed Monday.

A man who stuffed a dead mouse into his Taco Bell burrito in a botched extortion attempt was sentenced Friday to 16 to 30 months in prison. Ryan Daniel Goff, 20, pleaded guilty last month to a felony count of attempted false pretenses between $1,000 and $20,000.
