According to officials, about 300 pot plants were discovered when firefighters were responding to calls that smoke was coming out of the house. Orange County fire captain Stephen Miller stated the smoke was coming from the garage wall, where someone had illegally tapped into a power source.

Police say a man they confronted had "gone berserk," shortly before officers Tasered him and he later died. Police spokesman Wayne Shelor says officers were called after the man acted violently at a motel near Clearwater Beach Wednesday night, throwing patio furniture and knocking out a window.

Santas other than the stereotypical Jolly St. Nick, have been on a rampage in New Zealand. Drunken criminal Santas have been wreaking havoc and giving the rosy cheeked icon a bad name. Reports of "Bad Santas" breaking the law have been circulating around the world.

Athens, Ohio - A convicted drug dealer has filed a lawsuit against the search of his business, that turned up more than 50 lbs of marijuana. Now the dealer is suing the dog involved in the bust. Andi, a dog used by the Athens County Sheriff's Department, is listed as one of the defendants in a lawsuit filed by Wayne Francis Green, 46, on Nov. 18. Green, who is representing himself, alleges that a search of his furniture business in 2003 was illegal. During the raid police made a discovery of 50 pounds of marijuana.
