In a strange case of smuggling, two Buffalo men were caught smuggling by hiding four birds in a pocket and three in a fanny pack. U. S. Customs and Border Protection agents reportedly asked them to pay $1,000 in fines after they seized seven birds from two men as they re-entered the United States from Canada via Buffalo's Peace Bridge. According to AP reports, the custom officers became suspicious after the two men, identified as John Beale, 59, and Frank Salvini, 65, had gone to Canada Friday to buy 25 pounds of millet bird seed.

A smoking ban in gambling clubs in New Zealand has reduced the number of gamblers as the country's poker machine revenue fell 28%. Brian Smith, president of Clubs New Zealand, said that this ban would reduce about $60 million a year from pub charities to various sports and other community groups.

London, England (AHN)-Britain's biggest theme park announced it has called off the country's first "National Muslim Fun Day" because of lack of interest. Alton Towers in central England was to open on September 17 for Muslims-complete with halal food, a strict dress code and prayer areas.

The United Kingdom's largest theme park cancels the first "National Muslim Fun Day" due to poor ticket sales. Alton Towers had set aside September 17 as a day for Muslims. The park was going to ban music, gambling and alcohol for the day, institute a strict dress code and set aside prayer areas. The park was also going to segregate by sex rides such as "Ripsaw," Corkscrew" and "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. "
