Police Question Blair's Wife For "Slapping" Boy

The wife of British Prime Minister Tony Blair was questioned by child protection officials when she only pretended to slap one of the boys. The incident happened when Cherie Blair was being photographed with teenager Miles Gandolfi at the U. K. Schools Games sports event in Glasgow, Scotland, when the 17-year-old boy in question jokingly raised his hand behind her head to make a "bunny ears" gesture.

New Monopoly Edition Will Feature McDonald's And Starbucks

The new edition of the game Monopoly will feature major companies such as McDonald's, Starbucks and Motorola. Instead of an old shoe, McDonald's French Fries will be a player piece along with a Starbucks coffee cup, a Toyota Prius car, a Motorola RAZR phone and a New Balance running shoe. The "Here and Now" U. S. edition of the board game will feature Times Square instead of Boardwalk, among other changes.

The first gym for the mind opened for one night in London. The national Science Museum presented mentally challenging games instead of treadmills. Memory-enhancing tips were offered with traditional mental games like chess and Rubik's cube as well as hipper alternatives such as the Japanese puzzle Sudoku.

A cemetery in Argentina is offering die-hard fans of the popular football club Boca Juniors a chance to rest in peace amongst star football players, club executives and fellow fans. Three-thousand plots have been set aside for these football lovers in the Iraola cemetery, abut 37 miles from Buenos Aires. The club, known by Argentineans as Club Atletico Boca Juniors, is well known for its football team. Its home base is in the neighborhood of La Boca in Buenos Aires, where it hosts its home games at the Bombonera stadium.

Baseball Game Lasts Over 30 Hours

What may be the longest baseball game ever occurred last weekend in Alliance, NE, beginning at 10 a. m. Saturday and ending on Sunday at 4:05 p. m. The current Guinness World Record, set in Canada three years ago, is 25 hours and the Alliance game's organizers are hoping their 30-hour-five-minute game will take its place in the book. The game consisted of 40 players, aged 18 to 44, and lasted 84 innings. The ending score was 120 to 114, with the Herald Dragons beating the WESTCO Knights.
