A German Court has ordered a love witch to pay back a $1,275 fee to a disappointed client after a spell failed to win back the woman's boyfriend. According to the court statement, the service offered by the self-proclaimed love-witch was "objectively completely impossible."
The client had consulted the witch in 2003 about a spell to bring back her partner.
"The defendant carried out the corresponding ritual over several months, each time under a full moon, but without success," the court said.
The witch denied guaranteeing it would work, but the court said that was irrelevant as "a love ritual is not suited to influencing a person from a distance."
