A German man has filed charges against his doctor after he was circumcised against his will and is asking for cash to rebuild his foreskin.

Fifty-year-old Karl Spandl from Bonn, Germany was rushed to the Troisdorf Hospital for treatment after a painful abscess developed on his penis.

But while on surgery, his doctor who was not identified for legal reasons, decided to remove his foreskin to prevent complications.

Spandl said, "When I woke up I almost passed out again with shock. I never said they could take that. And now I have almost no feeling in the tip. My sex life has been totally ruined."

The man is asking at least $28,000 from his doctor to undergo a second penis operation. He want to rebuild his foreskin using membranes taken from inside his mouth.

The case is now being tried in the Bonn Higher Regional Court.
