The Blickling Hall has been named the National Trust's most haunted property. The stately home in Norfolk is said to be haunted by three spectres including the headless ghost of Anne Boleyn, second wife of Henry VIII, who was beheaded in 1536.

For those of you who think there's a ghostly explanation for those bumps in the night, you're not alone. A new poll shows 34 percent of people believe in ghosts. A new poll by The Associated Press and Ipsos also found 34 percent believe in UFOs and 19 percent believe in spells or witchcraft. Another 48 percent believe in ESP.

A five-member team from the Rhode Island Paranormal Research group visited Mystic Seaport on Friday night to spend time on the Charles W. Morgan, a wooden whaling ship where several visitors have reported seeing ghosts. The 165-year-old craft made 37 ocean voyages in search of whales during the 60 years it was in use. About 1,000 men worked on the Morgan over those decades.

A new survey reveals more people in Britain believe in ghosts than in God. A poll of more than 2,000 people finds 68 percent believe in ghosts and spirits, while 55 percent believe in the existence of God.

CareerBuilder. com's annual survey of missed workdays finds that 43 percent of employees say they called in sick with bogus excuses at least once during the last year; up from last year's 35 percent. The survey also shows some hiring managers are catching on, with 23 percent saying they'd fired an employee for missing work without a legitimate reason.
