Nevada Gov. Jim Gibbons is embroiled in a public divorce, complete with his estranged wife, Dawn, requested the court to open the sealed divorce filing. Dawn Gibbons has accused the governor of carrying an affair with another woman often seen with Jim Gibbon. The governor denied the accusation and maintained the unnamed woman is just his friend.

Chimpanzees cannot be considered people. This was the ruling handed out by the Austrian Supreme Court Tuesday. The decision was made in response to a plea made by a local animal rights group requesting to be granted guardianship of two chimpanzees, after the shelter where they have lived in for 25 years declared bankruptcy. The two chimps, Matthew Hiasl Pan and Rosi, were at risk of being left without a home.

An unidentified robber broke into a house in Forrest City, Arkansas and took off with a bundle of Christmas gifts and other items, but later left a note to the house's owner saying "Sorry, wrong house. "Police says the robber broke into the house of Joyce Williams. The note was left in an apparent moment of guilt by the robber, officers said.

A toy manufacturer is hoping their news set of toys, versions of versions of microbes including gonorrhea and syphilis, will be a hit for Christmas. Giant Microbes, a toy manufacturer based in Connecticut has turned microscopic images of viruses and bugs, which also include malaria, mad cow disease, salmonella, Ebola, acne, rabies, black death and the good old influenza virus into 5-to-7 inch dolls.
