A man who has just returned from holiday has filed a suit against the South Holland Council after garbage collectors destroyed his luggage with over $3,000 worth of various valuables inside. The garbage collectors thought the bag was garbage. Phil Newbon from Spalding, Linconshire, in Great Britain said he left his baggage on the pavement fronting his home to talk with some friends. When he returned he was shocked to see his bag being crushed by grinders inside the garbage truck.

Santas attending the annual World Congress of the Father Christmases have called Monday for more colorful Christmas trees and said the traditional green-colored trees are too dull. Vibeke Larsen, spokesman for the Congress said, "This year, the Santas want to be trendy. They seem to be tired of the green Christmas tree, which they find too monotone, and want a bit of color, gaiety and renewal next to the fireplace. "

The woman, who put her bikini up for sale after she was arrested for running onto a rugby field, apparently stands to make a profit from the auction. Lisa Lewis was fined 200 dollars and ordered to pay 130 dollars for costs of the court for her crime.

Habib Mian, a retired clarinet player, believed to be India's oldest living person celebrates his 128th birthday on Friday. According to Gulf News, Habib retired in 1938 and has since been living on a pension. Local Government records confirm Habib was born on May 20, 1878. He's got a mention in the Limca Book of Records. And now he's got a call from the Guinness Book of World Records.
