A man in his late 20s in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang Province, has attempted to sell his soul on Taobao, the nation's top online auction site, attracting bids from some 58 soul-searching buyers before the posting was pulled. The auction came as Chinese people are observing their Qingming Festival, a traditional holiday when many travel to their ancestors' graves to clean them and offer gifts to the spirits.

A museum dedicated to star crossed lovers and those with broken hearts opened its doors in Croatia recently. Drazen Grubisic and Olinka Vistica founded the museum after a history of consoling friends over their failed romances.

Authorities say that a couple's claim to have had sextuplets was a hoax aimed at tapping the generosity of others to pay the couple's mounting bills. Sarah, 45, and Kris, 33 claimed to have given birth to four boys and two girls on March 8. The babies were apparently in intensive care.

Sri Lanka's celebrity elephant, Raja, has fallen ill after eating too many sweets and chocolates given to him as gifts in part of the Buddhist new year celebrations. Thousands of Sri Lankans have paid a visit to Raja, 45, ahead of the new year celebration on Thursday, offering homemade cookies deep fried in coconut oil, chocolates, rice cooked in thick milk and fermented slices of sweet pineapple.

Most baby showers end with cake and parting gifts. One in Massachusetts ended in gunfire and a beating. Police say the shower began with an argument over whether a woman let her five-year-old daughter drink beer. When the baby shower's hostess tried to intervene, a man began hitting some of the guests, including the 22-year-old mother-to-be.
