These days, everyone has to be on their guard against counterfeit bills, including the Girl Scouts.

Scout, Katie Lundquist, 10, was having a good day when she sold 10 boxes of the famous Girl Scout cookies to a woman outside Dave's Market Place.

The lady asked to pay with a $100 dollar bill, for $40 worth of cookies. The dutiful scout gave her change, and the deal was done. However, the bill was a fake.

Lundquist says, "Sometimes you can't trust just anybody."

Local police officer, Lt. Robin Ayers, says that they are checking surveillance tapes from video cameras outside the store to find the culprit.
