"Spaceship Earth," a million dollar sculpture honoring environmentalist David Brower on the campus of a Georgia public college, has reportedly collapsed and broke into pieces. It was made for the purpose of reminding the future generations of the Earth's fragility and ironically collapsed just three months after its unveiling. The 175-ton massive spaceship with phrase "our fragile craft" was still visible amid the debris at Kennesaw State University.

A believer of Santa Claus has sponsored his version of the G8 summit for Father Christmas to be held in St. Petersburg, Russia, ananova. com reports. Lev Levinson, organizer of Xmas G8 said eight different versions of Santa Claus from around the world will meet in Russia for the Christmas special.

Sweden's first astronaut is taking some comfort food along on his planned Dec. 7 trip into space. Swedish particle physicist Christer Fuglesang will bring along one of his nation's delicacies: moose meat. Yes, slow roasted moose meat will make its departure from Earth and orbit the globe with the team of astronauts, that is, until Fuglesang finishes it all off.

If your last name is Jones, you missed out on the biggest gala ever held in your honor yesterday. Over 1,200 Joneses gathered Friday in Cardiff to break the world record for the largest assembly of people with the same name. Gaggles of Joneses flocked to the Wales Millennium Centre for the event, dubbed "Jones, Jones, Jones".

Japanese Takeru "Tsunami" Kobayashi has set a new world record in speed eating. At the Boston lobster roll eating challenge, Kobayashi was able to devour 41 rolls in 10 minutes, smashing the previous record of 22 rolls.
