Fresh out of bankruptcy, General Motors has said it is considering selling its vehicles on e-Bay raising concerns by dealers on what such a move might mean to them.

However, e-Bay officials say that GM has not finalized a deal with them to sell new cars on its online auction site, according to the New York Times.

Details of the plan are sketchy, but GM officials say it would be the dealers selling cars to consumers via e-Bay and that the automaker would not sell vehicles directly to the public.

The reasoning behind GM's interest in partnering with e-Bay is because most consumers spend time researching cars online anyway, according to CNN.
