Fighting Nuns Forces Convent To Close Shop

A convent in Italy is finally closing down due to infighting between its last three remaining nuns. Reports say that the head of the convent, the Mother Superior was brought to a hospital with scratches to her face after the fight between the sisters of the Santa Clara convent in Bari.

Angered by another lawsuit he considers inappropriate, Nebraska Democratic State Senator Ernie Chambers has sued God last week. Chambers says he's trying to make the point that anybody can file a lawsuit against anybody. Chambers says in his lawsuit that God has made terroristic threats against the senator and his constituents and thus can be sued in Douglas County because He's everywhere.

Frustrated with numerous and repeated technical problems that had grounded its entire international route fleet of two Boeing 757s, officials for Nepal's state-owned airline committed the ritual killing of two goats. Nepal Airline officials hoped that the sacrifice would appease the Hindu Sky God, Akash Bhairab. Ritual animal sacrifice is a common and accepted practice in the Hindu religion.

A drunken Wisconsin man woke up Monday in his neighbor's backyard without pants, a cashier's check worth over $41,000 and several hundred dollars in cash. Police said Mark Stahnke filed a report Monday but could not provide details on what happened when he left the bar the night before until he woke up the following morning.

British artist Damien Hirst sold his sculpture of a diamond-encrusted skull worth $100 million, an all time high price for a piece of work sold by a single living artist, the London gallery said Thursday. Hirst named the unique piece of art, "For the Love of God. " The masterpiece is a skull cast in platinum with 8,601 diamonds. When the original skull was subjected to carbon dating for authenticity, it was found that his model dated back to the 18th century.
