A golden retriever who has not given birth in 18 months, adopted a stray kitten and began producing milk for the gray kitty when she heard it weep.

The kitten was found by her rescuer in an old tire near a concrete plant. But her rescuers became worried after the gray kitten refused to drink milk.

Kathy Martin said, "She started licking her and loving her. Within a couple of days, Honey started naturally lactating." Her husband, Jimmy, brought the stray kitten six weeks ago. "The kitten took right to her."

At first, the Martin family was worried that the little kitten would be hurt because Honey is such a big dog. They named the kitten Precious but after a while, Honey began to like Precious' so much that she started to wag her tails every time she sees the kitten.

Precious on the other hand, plays with dog bones and Honey lets her play like a puppy.

Kathy Martin said, "She thinks she's a dog. She's really fit right in."
