Britain's Prince Andrew says the $997,100. 00 of tax payers' money he spends on traveling the world is "cheap at the price. " The 47-year-old - nicknamed Air Miles Andy for his frequent flying - is the British ambassador for trade and insists his role requires him to travel to meet foreign ministers and captains of industry. Prince Andrew told Britain's Independent on Sunday newspaper: "If you're doing what I'm doing, the only way to increase a country's awareness of what the U. K. can provide is to go and visit and maintain that relationship.

A 1999 Volkswagon Golf claimed to be previously owned by Pope Benedict XVI is listed for sale on eBay. com for the second time in recent years. The black five-door sedan is being sold by the GoldenPalace. com, an online casino noted for buying unusual items. Nearly 70 bidders have thus far named their prices for the car with only a few hours left until the auction ends this afternoon. Photos of the car's registration list "Josef Cardinal Ratzinger" as the vehicle's original owner. Shortly before Benedict XVI became head of the Catholic Church, he reportedly sold the car in 1999 to an Italian man who did not know the car would soon become linked to the current Pope.

A gray Volkswagen Golf once owned by Pope Benedict XVI is up for sale on e-Bay, with the current highest bid at $202,750. Proceeds from the auction will go to Habitat for Humanity Great Britain. The Pope's private secretary bought the car from a dealer in Siegen in 1999 and sold it back to the dealer in 2004. In 2005 a young German student bought the car unaware of its previous owner, but later found out and sold it on eBay to the online casino Golden Palace for $245,000.

A North Carolina couple has reportedly received a balloon that was set off by students in Wynne, Arkansas School. Mahlon Webb Jr. was in the golf course where he works as a superintendent when he noticed a yellow balloon on the first hole. The balloon, which surprisingly traveled 872 miles, has a tag attached that said, "Happy 100 Day, Dana Johnson, Wynne Primary School Kindergarten, Wynne, Ark. "
